Interior Painters and Decorators Lewes
High Street Lewes
Our painters and decorators Lewes were tasked with a complete colour change for this three floor townhouse.
Particularly dilapidated in places with damp course and exterior rendering repairs required.
Much interior repair was also needed on various previously water damaged walls. We used dehumidifiers to extract the remaining moisture then stripped the walls and ceilings, as usual filled, sanded and primed with Stain resistant Zinsser primers before applying striking colour palette of Farrow and Ball:
The deep sumptuous pink is Farrow and Ball Estate Emulsion ‘Sulking Room Pink’
And the rich beige is the subtle muted but warm tone of Farrow and Ball Estate Emulsion Estate Emulsion ‘Elephants Breath’.
All of the woodwork was sanded back, primed and then we used Farrow and Ball ‘All white’ Estate Eggshell to finish. This gives a clean and striking colour contrast with the deeper Estate emulsion colours on the walls.

At South Decorators, we understand that every job is different. As such we adapt our painting techniques to match the requirements of each project. When working in residential premises, traditional brush painting is common due to working in areas with restricted access.
For large open spaces such as commercial premises and offices we may decide to use our spray-painting machines. Spray machines are most effective in larger or unfurnished homes; if we decide to spray in a partially furnished home extended preparation will be used to ensure we cover all carpets, fabrics etc to avoid any airborne paint mist.
